Tonsai Pier situated in the center of Tonsai Bay at Koh Phi Phi. It's the island's main pier and the busiest, with ferries and speed boats arriving from Phuket – Rassada Harbour and Krabi either Nopparat Thara Pier Ao Nang or Klong Jilad Pier. On arrival, there's a small 20 baht entry fee to the island, and you'll be met by a line of reps holding up banners for tours and hotels. Tonsai Pier is main entry point of the Phi Phi Islands then you can get a speed boat transfer to Laemtong Beach.
Tonsai Village itself is a busy center around narrow, pedestrianised lanes with cultural and business life, but there are no cars - travel is on foot with a few bicycle around. There is much accommodation geared towards backpackers and the cheaper end of the market but also many high end hotel and resorts available.
There is luggage storage room available on Tonsai Pier, just ask any staff on pier where it is.
Shopping in Tonsai village includes many shops including 7-Eleven store alongside more traditional shops. At night, the streets fill with people headed out for dinner, or to enjoy Tonsai Village nightlife. Ferry service to Tonsai takes 2 hours from Phuket and one hour by speed boat from Rassada Harbour. From Nopparat Thara Pier Ao Nang or Klong Jilad Pier takes one hour by speed boat.
